So I woke up this morning feeling tired and unenthusiastic, despite the fact I went to bed at 9:30pm. Every night I make a list of 10-15 things that I MUST get completed before the day is done. For example, I need to help my brother make a fan page, talk to the website guy for the gym, work on my presentation, blah blah blah blah. Ooh by the way... I'm also a full time student at Trinity University. This is my Senior year and I will be graduating this Spring, only after I take and pass a series of test know as the "Senior Comprehensive Exam"(Echos in the background)lol Clearly I have a busy schedule and that doesn't include my love of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which I make time for either mentally or physically everyday. But, there are days such as today that I "just don't feel like it". I have to mentally motivate myself by visualizing what my end goals are and what I truly desire. I was reading through a magazine one day and found an ad that said "Your competition is asleep at the Boarding gate, Leave them there". I was really motivated after reading that, because there are times that I don't feel like studying for school, researching information for the upcoming gym, or training, but I like to think of what my competitors are doing. It motivates me each time I feel like slacking or not giving it my all. I tell myself to "Suck it up..Get yourself together". What are some ways that you keep yourself motivated when you don't always feel like doing something?

Great post! I go through that too. For me, what makes me get up off my butt and go to class is thinking that I will be cementing in better technique when I'm tired because there will be absolutely no chance that I'll be suing strength or muslcing! I also tell myself that, in tournament, I will be tired in my last matches and it's good practice to grapple when I don't feel like I have anything left.
